White Sands

Over Spring Break, our family went to southern New Mexico. We stayed at a condo in Ruidoso. While there, we visited White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, Gaudelupe Mountains, and more. My parents also joined us from Michigan. White Sands was definitely the highlight of the trip for me. It is a photographers paradise and the kids had a great time too!

Excellent gallery, Rian! Definitely looks like you had a great trip. The patterns in the dunes are wonderful. Can't get enough of those types of shots. I also particularly liked the lighting in the Carlsbad Cavern images. Got a vote from me.

Rian, Enjoyed looking at your gallery, well done, and the white sand reminds me of the snow in our mountains. Only memory of sand like this was in the sand hills of Southern Oregon. Thanks for sharing...Ron

Nice photos. Next time you are in Ruidoso spend some time in the White Mountain WIlderness Area in the Lincoln National Forest, home of Smokey the Bear. You can go to Ski Apache and ride the cable car up to about 11-12,000 feet. Quite a site seeing the White sands and Black Malpie from the top of that mountain. Cheers.

Outstanding gallery! We spent spring break in northern New Mexico and ended up fighting snow most of the time. Looks like you chose the better place to be...wonderful scenery and captured pefectly.
