USAF Academy Cadet Chapel

Photos taken of the Cadet Chapel on the grounds of the US Air Academy in Colorado Springs. Construction of the chapel began in 1959 and was finished in 1963. The chapel has won many architectural awards and is even featured on a new US Postal Stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Air Force Academy. The building contains 3 separate chapels; Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish.

As a cadet, I spent many hours here as part of the Protestant Choir and later as an assistant between graduation and going to pilot training. It is truly a special "space." You've motivated me to scan my old negatives and post 4.5 years of close subject study.
