Edfu has one of the best preserved temples in Egypt, Temple of Horus. Built in classic pharaonic style under some Greek influence, it gives a clear idea of the appearance and purpose of an Egyptian temple. Horus, the falcon-headed 'God of Sky', is our favourite Egyptian god and so is his temple.
