This Great Egret and 12 Snowy Egrets next to it are lining the shoreline hoping to get fish that are being driven by the 500+ Double-crested Cormorants in the midst of a "feeding frenzy" out on the lake. As the cormorants push the fish close to shore the Great and Snowy Egrets are constantly flying to a closer position on the shoreline hoping to take advantage of the panicked fish and grab them as they get close to shore. The coot in the foreground is climbing up the hill to get away from the egret interlopers.
