Coyote Valley, a large expanse of farmland, orchards and homes(approximately 7,200 acres (29 km2) in size, located in the most southern part of San Jose, California) has been established as a wildlife “hot spot” in California. Over 170 species of bird have been observed, including 21 species of raptor, and over 15 species of mammals including Mountain Lion and American Badger. *
