So you think your Greyhound just fell out of the sky?? not quite.
Alot of hard work went On before that magic moment in front of
Bubbles and Barks when you first set eyes on your new best friend!
on May 14th I had the pleasure to spend the day with Christine Makepeace
at the R.E.G.A.P. (retired Greyhounds as pets)
Kennel located at the Seabrook Greyhound Park in Seabrook N.H.
For those of you who don't know who she is, Chris is the one who
supplies us with the Greyhounds we set up for adoption.
She has worked at the track since she was 10 and has been at it
now for 16 years. I wanted to create this gallery to show people
the hard work that goes into getting the dogs to us.
I think I picked a pretty good day to go, it was the day
of our May 15th dog wash and we were getting 10 dogs that night!
all together she had to get close to 30 dogs ready not only
for L.I.G.H.T. but a few other rescue groups also! Please read the captions
under the pictures for further info on the day.
