This Beagle started out "Joseph T.O.D." He was found with a chain around his neck running between parked school buses at St. Joseph's Elementary School. A friend who worked there rescued him from that situation and then called me. I'm guessing I didn't hesitate to take him in. Of course, that was 19 years ago and the memory of the particulars is not as sharp as it was closer to the time it happened.
TOD, (The Other Dog...back when I only had one other dog!,) was a Beagle through and through. He lived to eat and used his nose to find whatever he believed to be edible. As is represented by the photos in this gallery, he sometimes went to great lengths to get food. Sometimes those efforts involved much thought and energy. Other times, it was a matter of waiting until another dog, or cat, walked away from its dish.
