It has been brought to my attention that it can be rather hard to see what belongs to whom in this picture. Cirrus's head is on the right, with three of her four paws sticking right out in front of her nose and Inga,(the cat), is lying perpendicularly across Cirrus's side. They have been best buds since the day Cirrus came home with me. They sleep like this on a daily basis. Cirrus is a black Lab, who was born blind and was the runt of her litter. It is truly amazing to see her run,(yes,RUN), around the yard at full throttle and not run into anything. She chases a ball by following the sound of it bouncing and sniffs around until she finds it, then brings it back to you. She almost always finds it.
A photographic note; I had been trying to get this picture all week. I had the chair set up with a light colored throw on it to better show the sleepers, they never got near the chair. I finally gave up and just let the throw fall into the chair in disarray. I found the two at 11:30 one night sleeping in the chair, ran to get the camera and started shooting.
