Spring migration is proceeding very poorly here this year. There have been no major fallouts of birds, just a couple of warbler species here and there, nothing close to 20 warbler species days in some past years. If not for the reports of excellent birding in Southern Ontario I might have wondered if birds have gone extinct! This guy was the star of one day, singing and offering good views. I have heard few Philadelphia Vireos sing over the years and it was interesting to hear how it sounded in comparison to the familiar Red-eyed Vireo. A Wilson's Warbler has also been hanging around and singing, another bird song I don't know as well as others, but I haven't been so lucky to get any photos of him (yet). I think this was my best of the Philadelphia Vireo.
