Berry Binging Bird

...aka Cedar Waxwing! No matter where I live, I'd always want a serviceberry tree because they are a magnet for birds, but now that the berries are ripening, the squirrels also have a taste for them and their bulky weight on the delicate branches snaps twigs and where the branches are too delicate, the squirrels don't hesitate to purposefully pull, bend and break the branches to bring the berries closer. Squirrels: the perpetual menace!

Such an amazingly detailed and beautiful shot. Squirrels love the fruit too. I've seen chipmunks up in the trees gorging! V

But this is a beautiful capture. These trees grow quickly so have patience. The waxwings will return every year. (And he berries are tasty so I don't blame the squirrels.)
