Snowy Owl

I went back looking for Snowy Owls today and this one was on a fence post near the road when I came around. Now with the newly released, updated version of Canon's 100-400mm lens, this seemed like a good opportunity to see how it worked with the 1.4x teleconverter which is said to produce much better results when used with the newer lens compared to the older lens which I found was almost unusable with a teleconverter. It didn't disappoint! I wouldn't have been able to get this shot with my older lens because I wouldn't have been able to get close enough or have enough detail left over after cropping to get a photo like this.
