When I moved away from the open area where I saw all the turkey prints and into a forested area the prints of turkeys were replaced by these rabbit prints. I initially suspected Snowshoe Hare based on habitat, but the abundance of these prints made me wonder. I don't see Snowshoe Hares often and these tracks suggested the animal that left them was everywhere! After thumbing through my field guide I believe these are indeed Snowshoe Hare prints. The pattern formed by the two larger prints and the two rightmost smaller prints is a typical hare print, and the two leftmost smaller prints suggest to me that the hare stopped at this very spot.
