Batanes People

Batanes People live a simple life. They don't care about the politics nor do they pay attention to foreign exchange rate. But they are well informed about Manny PACMAN and the stampede disaster of WOWOWIE.

Mainly surviving on fishing and farming of root crop, their houses are made of big boulders to withstand the strong winds. Surprising, they have GLOBE and SMART GSM strong signal, satellite TV and 24 hours of electricity.

Public school up to high school is open to all children, partly subsidized by the government.

hi.. i was there last april 28 to may 1, 2007...looking at your pics makes me wanna go back there right now...the place was really magnificent and breathtakingly beautiful as i always say it...God must have loved the Filipinos very much to give us such a beautiful place..keep taking pictures :)
