The galleries show images taken over three days in August 2005 when Shelsley Walsh celebrated 100 years of motor sport. Fantastic weather helped thousands of spectators enjoy the celebration and see the Shelsley record broken for the second time this year. Ever since 1905 motor cars have been racing up the hill at Shelsley Walsh. Situated in glorious countryside about 10 miles from Worcester, Shelsley Walsh is reputed to be the oldest motor sport venue in the world, and provides a wonderful spectacle, with all types of vehicles including pre war, historic racing, classics from a bygone era and specially built cars trying their hand. In fact those who visit Shelsley for the first time can’t resist returning.

The paddock area is where you can get close to the action, allowing virtually unrestricted access to the many drivers and vehicles.
