Saw this bird drinking from a dish of water I keep on the ground in my backyard by the planters for all the wild animals 5-4-22. I mostly get doves, sparrows, sometimes cardinals, I never saw this bird. He’s so beautiful I had to look him up. I live near the west end of Tucson.

We have one in our front yard. This pic really doesn't do it justice. Such a beautiful bird.

I live in a park on Ajo by the freeway. 2 days ago, the guard and I saw a yellow and black bird a few feet away. He got a better look than I. I looked at your birds and thought that it was Scott's Oriole.
He told me today that he did see a red head on the bird. I checked again and found this Western Tanager. I will not see him until Thursday. This must be the one.
Thank you for posting the Arizona birds.
