Palouse - In Spring

We traveled to the Palouse on the May long weekend, and Barbara and I collected hundreds of photos. So stay tuned, this is the first batch of many images from our first visit to the Palouse. We hope to return again during harvest season.

Loved the gallery, especially the "Lone Tree". Trees like this are known as 'line trees" as they usually marked the property lines between fields. Not many are left.

Nice work! I live on the Palouse, and prowl around the area as a photographer; I recognize many of the places you've put on display in this gallery. It will be warmer at harvest (August) and dusty, but the golden fields underneath colorful skies will be worth a return trip.

I can't believe we didn't visit Palouse when we were traveling Washington state a few years ago. There is nothing else left to do as to go back to that part of US ;-) I have to see it with my own eyes one day. It looks so much like Toscany. Thanks for sharing

Barb and Fred; I grew up near spokane, Wash. Visited Steptoe Butte many times. Your Steptoe series is excellent. Beautiful. It captures a rare beauty of the Palouse that very few people ever see. Great work. Lee
