The late afternoon light provides some spectacular colour and viewscapes from the slopes of Steptoe Butte.

good time indeed to throw the undulating land into gentle relief...the exposed loess in the distance provides a worthwhile colour contrast too..

Beautiful sunlit soft shades of green and browns, a tapestry of fields with subtle textures. The undulating landforms give it a sense of movement, like waves moving over the sea.

Love the light and shades of green.
I saw a local craft show the past couple months and a woman photographer had a shot like this. I asked if it was Tuscany and she said, no, Washington State, she's been wanting to go there because the scenery had so much in common with Tuscany :)
Guess it was Palouse gotta vote this one too.
Where do you hear of all these special places and know exactly the time of day to be there? :)
