Ashnola River

Okanagan

Last Spring, Fred and I headed south to Keremeos, BC in search of apple blossoms. (It was still too early in the season in Kelowna.) Well, it turned out the apple trees were only beginning to bloom in the South Okanagan, so we decided to explore the area since we were there already. One place we drove to was a tiny Provincial campground located below Cathedral Lakes. We'd camped there nearly 25 years ago and Fred remembered the pretty river that ran along the edge of the camp sites. Not much had changed at the tiny campground except the outhouses had been replaced with sturdier, more 'modern' outhouses. Aside from one solitary camper, we had the quiet campground and river to ourselves. This shot was taken from along the bank of the Ashnola River.

Comments and feedback always appreciated.

Scanning the thumbnails this one caught my eye immediately. Something about the tones and textures of rocks and light. Provia F - no explanation required.
