Peru - August 2005

These photographs were taken on General Tour's "Grandeur of Peru" tour from August 28 through September 8th, 2005. The tour focused on many of the Chechua (Inca) ruins throughout southern Peru, including Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, and many of the ruins in the Cusco area. We also overflew the Nazca Lines and visited the Uros Islands and Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca.

An excellent gallery, very comprehensive. See if you can get to Trujillo and Chiclayo. Chan Chan and The Lord of Sipan are a worth a visit, the Brunig museum was a superb exposition of the structure of the pyramid and their locations within the pyramid.

It was so nice to see and remember all the great places that I was (on Feb.2000). You have great shots. you missed some important pictures (like on shape stone in the macchu-picchu) and I also hoped to see some pictures from Salinas (but probablly you weren't there. Thanks for an houre of sitting and watching all the pictures that I had seen in my minds. It was a bit sad when I got to the end

Ron, your photography is excellent! You have a great eye for composition and detail. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, and will even use your descriptions to identify my 35mm shots when they are are at last recoverable tomorrow. Many thanks again for sharing these with me.
