America's Stonehenge - 07/03/2006

At over 4000 years old, America's Stonehenge in Salem, NH is possibly the oldest man-made construction in the United States. It is not known who built the many chambers, walls, and meeting places, however there is very strong evidence that the site was home to a migratory European population. The site originally opened in 1958 under the name "Mystery Hill Caves". It was renamed to America's Stonehenge in 1982.
