I'm delighted to have experienced some of your work! These are not only beautiful, but thoughtfully taken and put together for others to enjoy and learn from. I have many kinds of woodpeckers in my area, but the Red-Headed wasn't one of them. Then they appeared a couple of years ago at my feeders during a hard winter, and have been fairly shy since. Your photos of the young molting just solved my mystery. It's wonderful to know that a juvenile is staying in the area! Thank you for all your time and effort.
