The Conductor

Have you ever wondered what the musicians in an orchestra see of their conductor? This is Monte Nichols, the Music Director and Conductor of the Gwinnett Philharmonic Orchestra. I shot these images with my Canon 20D at 800 ISO. I used my Canon 70-200 f2.8L on a tripod. I shot over the orchestra from backstage through a crack in the Orchestra shell. The were playing Dvorak's symphony #9..The New World.

I missed this series... and am glad that I stumbled upon it now. The mono conversion has been done excellent. The square format suits this series and the choice is hard to pick out one favourite so I am glad that you posted them all.

fantastic album, bet you could do a slideshow or animation of all files and put the timeing on 1/5 second and it would be like watching the conductor in action conducting the orchestra :)

Love this, really well done! it's great to see the expressions of the condoctor. In the Berlin Philharmonie there are sits behind the orchestra, I went there many times, it was fantastic to see the conductor. V
