Midsummer Night's Dream



I have attempted to show the whole story behind a weekend of ballet performances. The rehearsals, the on-stage classes and warm-ups,
and the backstage activities all come together to produce 4 beautiful performances. I used a Canon 5D and 20D with Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS lenses at ISO 1000.

Most people don't get to see what dancers do backstage, so, being a dancer, I appriciate the backstage shots. They show that dancers are also people, without being crowed by costumes and perfect hair.
The performance pictures were delightful. I loved them. Thank you! This deserves a vote.

ABSOLUTLY FANTABOULOUS: It is so rare to see CLEAR FOCUSED pictures of Ballet as most venues do not even allow amateur photography.This is a truly enlightening PLEASURE TO MY EYES. I look forward to more in the future. I have passed on your URL to friends to enjoy.

this site is marvelous and still more the images!! they are fabulous....: -) I didn't know what this work of shakespeare it was however also a ballet it is one of mine prefer.

This is one of my favorite Shakespearean plays...didn't know they did it as a ballet. Just gorrrgeous!

Bravo. Another outstanding gallery of performers. The lighting is so subtle. I would have been tempted to push the contrast but I see this works so much better. There's a wonderful feel to this collection. A quiet but determined and purposeful attitude.
