Firebird Rehearsals

This gallery is a collection of shots taken during a 4 day period prior to the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre's Spring Performance entitled "Firebird". There are several other works featured on the program including Daphnis and Chloe. Thom Clower is the Guest Choreographer and at this point they are all working together to "polish" the pieces before moving to the theatre for dress rehearsals and 3 performances.

I have just spend a moment browsing through the most amazing collection of highlights from the Regional Dance America event but nothing really beats a series like this, revealing the hard work that precedes the final on-stage performances. I guess that after looking at the "other2 stars, it just does a humble visitor some good to look at familiar faces. It may sound funny but this is a bit like the home team. If you watch a football match, you will always support your own team and the Gwinnett Ballet has kind of become my preferred team.I would never have heard of them had it not been for you and your undivided devotion for them. The Gwinnet Ballet has won my heart, on and off the stage.

This promises to be one heck of a performance. I love the shots of Thom showing WSJ how to express herself... it makes me laugh. Jody, Garet, David, BJ and the rest are all in great form . The only man capable of capturing these artists in such a relaxed yet expressive way has done a terrific job yet again and given us a backstage pass to another great performance. Pure candy for the senses...
