Nutcracker 2005



These photos were made during performances. I have tried posing these artists and the results, though nice, do not have the same feeling as shooting them in action.
The problem of course is low light and slow shutter speeds on moving subjects.
Almost all of these shots were made made at ISO 1250 with a Canon 70-200 f2.8L wide open!

I'm prejudiced, but I love the Spanish finish, it's magnificent--Richard I would love a copy of this for posterioty. Thanks so much for all of your work. Where is the "blue ballerina" tying her pointe shoes? I would love a copy of

Even with a very high ISO rating you manage to get great results. These really are fantastic!

Bear in mind that these photos were NOT posed but taken "in performance" at a dres rehearsal! Posing is easy - snapping at the right moment isn't!
