Top musicians such as these from New Trinity Baroque have been photographed dozens of time so I wanted something different. They were in their "serious" performance clothes. This is fantastic! I'm a classical musician and everyone says we're snooty, overly serious people. Galleries like this, of course, show the truth. More people need to see this, that's for sure, to understand that we're all just kind of nuts. (our trombone section had a propensity once to shout "ARRRR!" in a pirate-esque manner every time the conductor said "Alright, tutti at letter R." Now you know the truth about orchestras)

This reminds me a recording of the Symphony No1 'Cassical' by Prokofiev, made by the Montréal Symphony Orchestra directed by Charles Dutoit, filmed by Barbara Willis Sweete and Andria Marthaler. A funny recording, something uncommun in the world of classical music, as your pictures are.
