Hi! Welcome to my pBase gallery. I've had a casual interest in photography since childhood (set up a makeshift darkroom in the bathroom when I was 10), but it wasn't until April 2004 when I got my first DSLR that this interest was raised a few notches. I joined Pbase shortly thereafter, mostly to share photos with friends and relatives and also as a server to use when posting images online. Since I was never a highly experienced photographer, the rapid feedback of digital photography appeals to me as a learning tool.
My wife and I live in Fresno, in the Central Valley of California, within a hour of Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. I'm 2.5-3 hours from the California coast, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
My interests in photography are varied. I enjoy some images just because of their beauty. Others, because they remind me of the people, places and feelings that I care about. Most of all, I enjoy sharing. I am currently using Nikon equipment.
