It was my first visit to Gambia but the friendly people soon put you at ease and I found them very helpful in my quest for new birds to photograph.
Our guide Abdoulie Ndure www.birdguidegambia.com for some of the popular birding sites including up river to Tendaba camp I would recommend him to anyone thinking of going to the Gambia,his birding skills are second to none and his knowledge of the habitat is excellent.We stayed at the Bakotu hotel which we found to be perfect for our needs with its own viewing platform over Kotu Creek and a good restaurant for evening meals after a hard days birding.
