A warm sunset illuminates the icy foreground in front of El Capitan.

From the same operation as "The Frozen Ponder image" we picked this setting out of the
rocks on a different evening. At one point I came narrowly close to slipping down with
tripod, camera and the whole mess in tow. Eventually I hit the shot and took advantage
of the sunset as best I could.
"If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder,
he needs the companionship of at least one adult who
can share it, rediscovering with him the joy,
excitement and mystery of the
