Sara and I have had the privilege of living in a wonderful neighborhood for almost 30 years. To be able to wave to your neighbors each day and know that you can depend on them if there are problems has to be one of the best feelings in the world. We often get together for alittle socializing and time it was our turn.

On Saturday July 31 we hosted a neighbor party to celebrate our new garage. The weather was beautiful and food was excellent. Brats, beer, sweet corn and salads were on the menu with several desserts including watermelon. Everyone brought a dish to pass. One of neighbors is a tuba player in a local band and volunteered an hour or two of live music. After the meal a euchre tournament was organized. Grand prize was the a watermelon………..
