You said something explanatory on Mark's PaD gallery comment so I thought your gallery might be interesting to look at. I like your work because of the way that you set a mood in your pictures; from my quick look it seems pretty consistent throughout. I'll be a fan.
That's a good question, Mark. I don't know what makes these sorts of shots so appealing aside from well-done artistry. This is a wonderful gallery...visually captivating.
This is a really neat place. Great photos of it. I wonder what makes these kinds of photos appealing. Is it the composition? (Nice choices on some of these, like the open door from the inside and the water faucet. And others...) And/or is it the sense of something past, that life went on here once and now it's gone?
