I can now check this one off my bucket list. The main purpose for this destination was to swimming with the whale shark. Donsol is a popular destination for viewing and swimming with the whale shark in the world. During the months of March and April each year the number of whale shark are at their peak because of the aggregation of the algal blooms that rise to unimaginable quantities of plankton and krill. We were able to swim with 10 different whale sharks on our single morning trip. Unfortunately I don't have an underwater camera to record any of the aw-inspiring encounters we had with the whale sharks.
