Marysville - Victoria

On February 2009 a bushfire raged through the small town of Marysville in Victoria which destroyed 80 percent of the town including the primary school police station and almost all of its houses. Thirty five people died on that day which is known as Black Saturday.

The fire ravaged through the beauty spot of Steavenson Falls which was not reopened until September 2011.
We recently visited the falls and were thrilled to see how the landscape had regenerated.
