its better in 1962 than today,,now we can see how baguio is now in trouble because of garbage that we can see everywhere,rivers that are clean during the old days but now its very dirty,,to all the officials of baguio support our beloved baguio,support also the name of baguio think of what do we do to make baguio nice..do not think of how you become rich...to all people,you,me everyone protect our city..mother earth for the next generation...

Thanks for the comment Ibaloi. Alot of people seem interested in seeing more old and new baguio. Unless I acquire some old photos I think the only thing I can do is take pictures of the highly urbanized present Baguio. Glad you enjoyed

nostalgic indeed...I remember the "original" Baguio way back then....Pine scented air, Traffic free, pedestrian traffic free, pollution free, old-timers donning g-strings with matching coat...ahhhhh those where the days

Thanks freddie, I'm still trying to get old pictures. Maybe the museum got a few. Only think I'm looking forward to is Panagbanga, the parades are in about 2 weeks. The fresh air is still the same but not in Session Road. Despite it all Baguio is still Baguio

thanks a lot russel for all this memorable pics then and now.as a baguio boy myself i,m so glad somebody out there had the initiative to do research about our baguio city. born and grew up in baguio been in canada since '75. back then in the 50's,60's, and early 70's the smell of pines permeates the air soon as you hit zig-zag rd. more power to you and hoping to see more of your baguio pics. god bless you.
