In July 2005 an animal moved into our garden. It is a kangaroo of rather undefined colour and material. I decided that Jack might be a suitable name and was not contradicted. A bit later it did occur to me that the fact that Jack has a pouch (for flowers of all things) would rather make him a Jacqueline. But he insisted on staying Jack and masculine, so that he is to this day. Now he remains fairly still in his place in our garden and from time to time gives his comments on things, mostly from an antipodian point of view.

Here is a summary of his comments, which I will update from time to time. Please be warned that offensive language is possible. I have no idea where he gets that from - Australians are of course well known for their polite, modest and refined verbal communication.
