KK, the pattern was something I came up with using some simple geometry and an eye for what a snow flake looks like. I made it from 3/4 inch plywood, about 30" across. After cutting out the pattern I wrapped and CAREFULLY stapled an appropriate number of lights then covered the flake with white tinsel. Stapling the lights is not absolutely necessary as long as you wrap them tightly but I did staple them just to keep them in place. If you have any dad's of students in the class who are good with some basic tools and perhaps either an art teacher or math teacher (to do the geometry) you should be able to come up with something pleasing. A combination of flakes covered with either white, gold and silver tinsel makes a striking display. Good luck and I wish I had a pattern to share with you.

I am blown away by your handiwork here. These decorations are amazing and you house looks wonderful. Do you make something new every year to add to all the other decorations? Just great Ralph.
