An air show at a major international airport, while commercial operations continued. One of the three runways was in continuous normal operation, while the other two that pass through the air show area were shared between show acts and commercial flights. This year's show seemed to have fewer and shorter interruptions for commercial traffic than the 2004 Wings Over Pittsburgh show.

What a fantastic group of pictures! You really captured the fun spirit of our event and have a great eye for capturing special moments in life. I hope everyone had a great time at the show and we look forward to doing it again in 2006. Hope you have a great summer!

Thanks for posting the pics, especially so quickly! I was at the show Sunday (7/10) and can identify the planes with the question marks on page 1:
C-21 - actually a T-43 Gator training aircraft, a converted Boeing 737-200. Used for navigation training.
F-4 - a T-38C Talon trainer (There was an F-4 from the Collings Foundation near the entrance)
F-18 - You have identified the F/A-18C correctly

I thought that it was interesting that two of the Thunderbirds were using two-seaters. Was this explained by the announcer? I saw a Blue Angels show wonce in Niagara Falls where one of the planes had to abort with a technical and the pilot quickly got into #7, a two-seater, to rejoin the show.

Nice meeting you again this year, interesting images. I see only one thing that questions me...I was standing right next to you (with our big white lenses) and EOS 1D's, yet in your gallery it states the images were all shot with a Minolta DiMage??

Where were you hiding the DiMage :-)

Here is mine so far I have 400 good ones that I have to edit down.
