The TaO of RAiNDoG

The Tao Te Ching was written about 500 B.C by an old Chinese hermit and is simply a collection of verses meant to teach about the meaning of life. The key concepts include the Tao, which is translated as "the way" and which I think is easily understandable by Christians if they substitute the similar concept of "Holy Spirit". Interestingly, it was 500 years after this was written that Jesus came to earth and said, "I am the way..." It makes me suspect that Almighty God was speaking to other cultures and places in ways that may defy our understanding, yet in truths hinting at the power yet to come. The concept wei wu wei which means "doing not doing" - and has to do with active awareness of the moment.

I have taken creative liberty here in illustrating the Tao te Ching with my photographs and writing my own interpretive version of it's philosophic poetry.
