BX

Amtrak 80 passes the site of BX Tower as it races towards it's next station stop at Ettrick. This was one of those gloomy winter days when the light was really odd. The lone code line pole is the last holdout of the dozens that once occupied both sides of the former ACL mainline. Contrast and compare this scene to what it looks like today. The new BX interlocking and connection now dominates this landscape. Not to mention the thicket of pine trees that have grown up along the tracks and on the sides of the Halifax Road bridge obscuring what used to be a great vantage for railfans. What a difference just nine years can make.
