The Jarratt Spur is a 1.5 mile segment of former Virginian Railway trackage now owned by CSX. The connection track leaves the CSX North End Subdivision at the A53.1. It was announced in October 2013 that Georgia-Pacific, the only customer on the line, will be closing it's operation in Jarratt effective November 1, 2013. The facility was served by CSX F740, a local based out of Collier Yard in Petersburg. On New Year's Eve 2004 I was fortunate to have been in Jarratt when F740 arrived to switch the Georgia-Pacific plant.
