But, it's nature. I watched as this obviously weak or injured grebe was brought on shore by the waves at which point this gull came in for the meal. Some beach kids and their parents were horrified and scared off the gull at which point the grebe went out with the waves. You could tell he was not right - he didn't paddle or swim or look healthy - he just floated. I kinda wished the gull would have finished him off quickly instead of the poor grebe suffering a slow death. Oh well, people think they are helping when they probably aren't.
