Petrified Forest National Park

Located in northern Arizona east of Flagstaff sits the badlands of Arizona. The area is littered with amazing rock specimens. I've just completed my second camping trip inside the park in the Painted Desert. It combines the beautiful eroded mounds of earth with sprinkled chunks of petrified wood.

I was there twice. Last time was two years ago. I did not see what you have captured. Wow! I sure should go back one more time. Thanks for sharing all your great galleries.

Clayton: Really enjoyed your photos and quite nice that you added the map as well. It's been ages since I was there and I remember it being extremely hot while I was shooting slides. Guess I need to go back and shoot digital images. Thanks for posting these. - Dan
