These pictures are so disheartening. What potential Afghanistan had and hopefully will have. I can't see progress unless the citizens themselves eliminate the Taliban. The word Taliban may mean teacher, but the men who make up the Taliban are monsters. These are not religious men. They are ignorant of their own religion, and have no respect for anyone else's. I'm afraid there is no hope until they are put down.

This view belongs to Istalif... a town on hillside at plaines north of Kabul. the village is famous for glazed potteries and this view is houses located on the main access street -- also called bazaar...while the houses are destroyed due to war...the wall of the foremost house still stands.
