One a Day

Inspired by Paul Walters' A Picture a Day for a Year.

I began this project hoping the challenge of finding a photo a day would broaden my photographic horizons, forcing me to see art in the mundane. Sometimes it works, sometimes the mundane looks just as mundane in pixels. But it's always fun, and it's frequently challenging, and the other members of the "PAD Cult" are a great bunch whose work is inspiring.

So Julie – where are they?? I feel this time that the board of governors will have no choice but to call your Mom in for a word! Expect she’ll probably cut your pocket money and confine you to barracks? ‘I’ll be back soon’ does not entitle you to take weeks off, especially as you’ve handed in no note from your Mom excusing you from games??? Just not good enough and dread to think what your report will be like at the end of term??

I SOMEHOW THINK JULIE WILL MAYBE NOT HAVE A PHOTO UP FOR A DAY OR TWO. SHE MAILED ME TODAY TO SAY THAT THEY'VE BEEN EVACUATED FROM HER HOME AS IT'S VERY NEAR TO THE "Ramona Fire". JULIE AND FAMILY ARE ALL SAFE BUT SHE'S HAD TO LEAVE ALL HER POSSESIONS BEHIND AND IS STAYING WITH A FRIEND. HOPEFULLY SHE'LL BE POSTING HERE SOON BUT FOR NOW PLEASE BEAR A THOUGHT FOR HER AND FAMILY.
