The hummers are all but gone, and have been for a few weeks. Hailstones and a light frosting of snow have nudged them to move onwards.
Here are a few from earlier in the summer.
I haven't bothered them in the last 6 weeks or so, with a lens or flash in their faces. But I will keep the feeders out till season ends. The nectar sucrose concentration is getting thicker as the days get more chilly.
