Although I'm not sure my family believes me... I missed them terribly on my trip to Maui. A funny thing happened while I was there, the hotel that I stayed in had a very nice art gallery. This fantastic bronze (I know it doesn't look like it) was one of the featured pieces in the front window. I really made me homesick as I have a photograph (a few years old now) that has my wife holding up my then 3-year old son in a very similar pose, but with the same exact "feel" as this piece of art. You'll have to take my word for it since I won't be posting it the original photo here -- my son is, let's say, VERY scantily clad - and he'd never speak to me again. Had I the money, I would have gladly purchased the sculpture, but as it happens it cost a significant fraction of my yearly salary.
