Seven Falls

Tucson, AZ

I was looking through my early digital photographs (2000/01) and was struck by how many photos were really handicapped by the technology - missed focus, poor resolution, lack of dynamic range, imposible to get shallow DOF.... etc

But many images were quite nice, I especially like this one which I had posted before. If you've never been to Arizona, the US Southwest or other deserts, you might be tempted to think that these colors involve a lot of photoshop'ing, but this image, other than cropping is pretty much straight from the camera. Makes me really miss Arizona!

The sky you captured is glowing with vivid reds and oranges churning about. The cactus defines the environment beneath the blazing sky. A fine piece of art you have created. V
