RC Cola and a Moon Pie

RC Cola and a Moon Pie

Window display in Bell Buckle shop. This town is a big promotor of "RC Colas and Moon Pies". The town has a Moon Pie festival once a year. I haven't been able to attend, but I have read about it, and it sounds like a lot of fun. I think it would be something like they would have in Mayberry, with Andy, Opie, Aunt Bea, Barney and all the gang. LOL How many of you have had an RC Cola and a Moon Pie??? :)

Camera update: I have a new one on the way!! Can't wait!! For those of you that asked, my old camera stopped zooming in and out. Some sort of little gear in it was broken, and it was going to cost more to fix it than it was worth...isn't that always the way?? But thanks to all of you for your sympathy, and understanding in my time of need. You are a great bunch of folks!!!

That's awesome! I had an RC cola and a Moonpie ONCE, just to say I had, because a friend of mine wrote a song that mentioned them and told me it was a southern thing...so I tried it...and will probably never do so again! lol Great southern shot here though!

Oh, those aren't the original RC bottles are they? Somehow I seem to remember them a lot differently! & MMM to RC and moonpies, or cocacola & peanuts!!!

Glad to hear you have another one (camera) on the way!

This is probably "unamerican" but I don't like Moon Pies or RC's. But it makes for a nice picture.

Moon pie...? Never heard of it, but it looks cool! Have enough trouble getting hold of
Pilsbury cookie dough here in the UK...

This brings back memories. As a girl growing up we would take Sunday drives out into the countryside. Pack crackers and bologna (we say baloney)RC colas and moonpies!!! I read up on this charming little town and plan to go. Got to see it! Oh those were the days!
