This year marked our fifth annual trip to Wyoming and Montana. Just as we've done in previous years, we kicked off our trip with a stay in Two Rib Cabin in Cooke City. Cooke City is a one road town nestled in the Beartooth Mountains near the Montana/Wyoming border and located five miles from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone. With unparalleled hiking, fishing, wildlife, and scenery at our fingertips, it made the perfect base for exploring the Beartooth Mountains and northern Yellowstone for a week.

Our second week was spent backpacking in the Wind River Range located southeast of the Grand Tetons. This was our third visit as a family in three years and it was our best trip yet. We did a six day loop out of Elkhart Park encompassing Cook Lakes, Wall Lake, Indian Basin, and Titcomb Basin. This trip entailed some off trail hiking, which did not deter Norah one bit. She did an awesome job hiking and we all enjoyed the gorgeous scenery. The Wind River Range is definitely a little slice of paradise!

We were fortunate to have another week for our vacation this year. For our bonus week we spent two days relaxing at Granite Hot Springs and four days camping and hiking in Grand Teton National Park. We finished off our trip with a day in Yellowstone to wander among the geysers and steam in Upper Geyser Basin. Watching Old Faithful erupt at sunset and at night was a great way to cap off our three weeks. From pikas to moose, glaciers to geysers, it was an awesome trip!
