Torres del Paine National Park

After 48 hours and 7,000 miles of travel which included missed flights and hours of bumpy bus rides on long dirt roads, we arrived at the famed Torres del Paine under threatening skies. It was very surreal to be in such a remote place after only 2 short days earlier being in the bustling JFK Airport in New York. But alas, here we were, and our much anticipated trip was within our grasp. In the next 9 days and 75 miles we would sample some of the world's most dramatic senery, including the Patagonian Icecap (Heilo Sur), the world famous Torres (Towers), and the Cuernos (horns).

Perhaps the greatest walk on Earth? After our experience I would not argue against it.

Very nice, and complete gallery on the hike around Paine National Park. Thanks for sharing. As I see, the weather was nice. Your gallery allowed me to see what it looks like in march. I'll remember that vegetation hadn't allready turned to red. Best regards. (Voted)
